All black today, all week probably, not for Cristian (he liked colors and dancing) but for me and how I feel both about my personal life and about his passing
I'm so terrible at matching that I have worn navy a few times only to realize it's not actually black!
He only bought his clothes in London?? Were they made in London? Was he British? What an interesting guy!
I do love black... and all black... My partner (Mary, whom I always yammer about) really liked black. I think she sort of went off it, but I had already adopted a love of it, perhaps to impress her, and still love it.
Although I have to say, black clothes sure get a lot of fuzz, lint and cat hair on them!
I can avoid the navy thing, but I'm terrible at matching SHADES of black. I wear black a LOT, but my blacks HAVE to match. Ha.
He wasn't British, but he was a theater/literature type. He fancied himself a playwright. I was forced to attend a painful postmodern play he wrote about Jane Austen once. The play literally ended with Jane Austen fighting the war in Iraq. Somehow wearing all black seemed to fit the image in his head he had of himself. I'm not sure why he only bought his clothing in London, but that's what he told people.
Black is basically my favorite "color". It's supposedly slimming after all. Ha. But yes, it is notorious for attracting lint and whatnot. It's a high maintenance color.
I noticed today that my shades of black did not match. :P Thanks a lot!!!
Of course, Johnny Cash is famous for always wearing black... hard to go wrong with black or Johnny Cash. Or Jane Austen fighting the war in Iraq!!!!!! That woman! Then the Bronte sisters showed up in a mech, and man, all hell broke loose.
