Name a song that...

…is stuck in your head right now:
Chris Cornell, "Higher Truth"

…you last listened to:

…you wish didn’t exist:
I can't think of any songs that I wish didn't exist! I'd be curious how someone could feel that strongly about a song. Maybe they had an awful experience while listening to it.

…makes you wanna twerk:
I don't think any music makes me want to twerk. Is that word even okay to use????

…never fails to put you in a better mood:
I kind of like depressing music.

…you’re embarrassed about liking:
I have started to feel a little embarrassed about most of my musical tastes, as culture moves on. It's weird to think that a lot of the music I like was once considered "pop." What happened to all the people who liked it? They just move on with the trends, I guess. Anyway, I can't think of anything in particular. The stuff I like, I generally like quite proudly.

and more and more and more... )…most people love but you dislike:
...everything...

…you will always love:
I was going to put something here, but I just sat in silence trying to think of something good for a long time. So I think I'll just say that I will probably always love the stuff I love now.

I am officially an old person now. The music I like best is on Public Broadcasting Service. Are they going to tell me about the pledge drive next, right before a Lawrence Welk marathon?

One thing I'll never understand is why acoustic music always has to be pushed into this slow, quiet, boring box. Come on man. Get out a pick and lay into that guitar once in a while.

I've always loved Rob Thomas and related to the majority of his lyrics (he's an ENFP, unsurprisingly). I still can't sing, but I learned what little singing I can do by listening to him and Chris Cornell primarily (and others, but I can't remember whom). Rob Thomas is one of those singers who actually took lessons (after the first album, he kept losing his voice and needed to learn to sing, and not only did he stop losing his voice, he started to sound fantastic), and he pretty much always sounds just as good in person as in the studio. I used to sing "Disease" (it's at 11:40 in the video) every time I did karaoke, along with Like a Stone (Audioslave) and Otherside (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

I had planned to eat at the picnic table in the second to last photo, but it's a little overgrown!
