Sorry about my face. A guy had just sprinted in and was laying out his colon in the stall behind me, so I was a little disturbed. Although I'm sorry about my face most of the time anyway.

A student made this in an art class and gave it to me!!!!!!!!!!! He doesn't talk to me a whole lot, because he and I are both shy, but I really adore him. I should reach out to him more, because one day he'll graduate and disappear, and I'll be sad we didn't interact more. :(




I took my lunch at 9:30 today. It was one of those days. It was a wonderful walk, though. I have no idea why the geese photo is so much larger than the others.


Sophie finds the back yard even more interesting than the washing machine!

I was definitely a problem. I got way too close! They are all bark and no bite, but I still don't like to frighten them.

I've found that if I am going through their area and can't help it, if I say hi and speak soothingly, they back down immediately. That said, I was walking too fast for one today, and I did startle it. Proof of all bark, no bite, though, at least for that one. I meant no harm, but it didn't know that! I was big and walking fast!

That's a pretty awesome gift. I know I am about that sort of thing, so I imagine it was kind of a big deal for him!

I laughed when I was imagining myself typing it in a journal entry. I'm glad you share aspects of my vulgar sense of humor. I had another version where I talked about him expelling a lung through his anus.

Well, I'M NOT GONNA LIE (as the kids say)--I have definitely typed LOL before with a straight face, or at least no more than a smile. But typically, I do not like to use LOL at all, unless I am actually laughing, in which case I throw distaste to the wind and usually type LOL!!!!!!!!!! That's like twice yearly. I smile and chuckle politely and stuff, but it's rare for people to make me laugh. Only really weird people can do it, and not many make the attempt. Yeah, he was so nonchalant, like I came back from walking around outside, and it was just sitting on my desk! I couldn't believe it!!! I was telling him that he could probably get $20-$100 for stuff like that on Etsy or at our local art gallery (and I hope he will give that a try), and he said, "Well, too late, because it's yours now." I smile thinking about it.
